What do we do?

Three ways we serve on the Souvenir Program Committee (SPC)

Selling ads for the Program

Selling ads for the Program

As the committee name eludes to, we sell ads to be published in the Souvenir Program

Solicit donations

Solicit donations

We request donations that go directly to the Education Fund to help fund scholarships and educational programs

Program distribution

Program distribution

We have a subcommittee that works directly with the FFA and 4-H clubs to facilitate their sales outside of NRG Stadium

Why are we the best committee?

There are a lot of committees involved in making the Show happen, but we feel the Souvenir Program Committee is the best because:

  • We don't work during* Rodeo
  • The only required meeting is your rookie orientation
  • You can do your volunteer work on your time (we don't work during* Rodeo)
  • You get about 5 months to do your volunteer work instead of just 3 weeks like most other committees
  • We have committee socials all year

*Exception to working during Rodeo are those individuals on the Distribution subcommittee, which is a very rewarding experience that is only available to Veterans on the committee.

To serve on any committee, you must first be a Member of Rodeo and many people join several committees after their first year.

Committee dues are annual dues and help us cover costs of many committee events and amenities including our year end banquet.
